Nihon no hashi wa dooro no maue o yokogitte kakatte imasu: The two bridges are crossing just over the road. (maue = just over, yokogiru = crossing, kakaru = hanging).

Kigi no aida o iku dooro o kuruma ga hashitte iki masu. A car runs on a road that that goes between different kinds of trees.

Dooro wa ie ni mukatte nobite imasu: The road stretches towards the house.

Inu wa otokonoko no mono desu. Sore wa otokonoko no petto desu: The dog is the boy’s. It is the boy’s pet.

Kuma wa dare no mono demo arimasen. Sore wa petto demo arimasen. The bear is no one’s. It is not a pet.

Ushi wa noofu no mono desu ga, sore wa noofu no petto dewa arimasen. The cow is the farmer’s but it is not the farmer’s pet.

Kono hikooki wa mottomo takaku hikoo shite imasu: This plane is flying the highest.

Kono hikooki wa chijoo ni chikaku, hikuku tonde imasu: This plane is near the ground, flying low.

Kono hikooki wa hikuku tonde imasu ga, sore wa mottomo hikuku hikoo shite wa imasen. This plane is flying low, but it is not the lowest flying plane.

Kono hikooki wa tonde imasen. Sore wa chijoo ni arimasu: This plane is not flying. It is on the ground.

Hitobito wa tagai no chikaku o aruite imasu: The two people are walking close to each other.
