I'm beginning to understand how people can come up with different translations for the same thing. Because Japanese speech is so different than English, things can be left out, or reworded to mean the same thing when translating. I find this fact of communication very interesting. I'm not even sure which methods I like best. How fun!

This is the final lesson in Unit 3... YAY! As time goes on, I wonder how much I'm actually learning from Rosetta Stone. That is, I get SO bored during lessons because I have a very good short term memory. However, a week later, do I still remember everything I learned? (just a guess, but i think nitoo is referencing a pair of big animals and nihiki is referencing smaller ones. Same for ittoo/ippiki)
