Japanese Unit 8 Lesson 9

So repetitive yet it is still hard for me to memorize/understand...

ginkoo: bank
resutoran: restaurant
kuukoo: airport
kooen: park

toshokan wa ginkoo no yoko ni arimasu: The library is beside the bank.
kyookai wa ginkoo no yoko ni arimasu: The church is beside the bank.
byooin wa kooen no yoko ni arimasu: The hospital is beside the park.
gasorinsutando wa kooen no yoko ni arimasu: The gasstation is beside the park.

Yudaya kyookaidoo wa resutoran no mukaigawa ni arimasu: The synagogue is on the opposite side of the bank (doesn't really mean across the street but thats what translates best...).
kutsuya wa resutoran no mukaigawa ni arimasu: The shoestore is across from the restaurant.
yakkyoku wa gasorinsutando no mukaigawa ni arimasu: The pharmacy is across from the gas station.
suupaamaaketto wa gasorinsutando no mukaigawa ni arimasu: The supermarket is across from the gas station.

hoteru wa byooin no yoko ni arimasu: The hotel is beside the hosipital.
hoteru wa byooin no mukaigawa ni arimasu: The hotel is across from the hospital.
kooen wa byooin no yoko ni arimasu: The park is beside the hospital.
kooen wa byooin no mukaigawa ni arimasu: The park is across from the hospital.

pan'ya wa ginkoo kara kado o magatta tokoro ni arimasu: The baker is just around the corner from the bank.
eegakan wa ginkoo kara kado o magatta tokoro ni arimasu: The theater is just around the corner from the bank.
pan'ya wa ginkoo kara ichi burokko itta tokoro ni arimasu: The baker is approximately one block from the bank (according to yahoo answers, itta tokoro means approximately. )
eegakan wa ginkoo kara ichi burokko itta tokoro ni arimasu: The theater is approx. one block from the bank.

chikatetsu no eki wa ginkoo no mukaigawa ni arimasu: The subway station is across from the bank.
chikatetsu no eki wa ginkoo no yoko ni arimasu: The subway station is beside the bank.
chikatetsu no eki wa ginkoo kara kado o magatta tokoro ni arimasu: The subway is just around the corner from the bank.
chikatetsu no eki wa ginkoo kara ichi burokko itta tokoro ni arimasu: The subway is about one block from the bank.

kyookai wa kooen kara kado o magatta tokoro ni arimasu: The church is just around the corner from the park.
Yudaya kyookaidoo wa kooen no yoko ni arimasu: The synagogue is beside the park.
Mosuku wa kooen no mukaigawa ni arimasu: The mosque is across from the park.
Hinzuukyoo no jiin wa kooen no doorozoi ni arimasu: ? The temple is down the street from the park?

pan'ya wa ginkoo no yoko ni arimasu: The baker is beside the bank.
keemusho wa ginko no yoko ni arimasu: The jail is beside the bank.
keesatsusho wa ginkoo kara kado o magatta tokoro ni arimasu: The policestation is just around the corner from the bank.
keesatsusho wa ginkoo no yoko ni arimasu: The policestation is beside the bank.

koojoo wa eki no yoko ni arimasu: The factory is beside the train station.
daigaku wa kooen no yoko ni arimasu: The college is beside the park.
resutoran wa eki no yoko ni arimasu: The restaurant is beside the trainstation.
byooin wa kooen no yoko ni arimasu: The hospital is beside the park.

kuukoo wa koojoo no yoko ni arimasu: The airport is beside the factory.
pan'ya wa hoteru no mukaigawa ni arimasu: The baker is across from the hotel.
pan'ya wa eigakan no mukaigawa ni arimasu: The baker is across from the theater (yeah, they spelled it eigakan instead of eegakan this time).
daigaku wa hoteru no mukaigawa ni arimasu: The college is across from the hotel.

itta tokoro does NOT mean "approximately"! it means "away (from)". so f.e. chotto itta tokoro means "not far away"
