kono doobutsu wa inu desu: This animal is a dog.
kono hito wa onnanoko desu: This person is a girl.
kono doobutsu wa uma desu: This animal is a horse.

kono hito wa kodomo dewa arimasen: This person is not a child.
kono doobutsu wa uma dewa arimasen: This animal is not a horse.
kono kodomo wa otokonoko dewa arimasen: This child is not a boy.
kono doobutsu wa inu dewa arimasen: This animal is not a dog.

kono hito tachi wa otokonohito tachi desu: These people are men.
kono hito tachi wa onnanohito tachi desu: These people are women.
korera no doobutsu wa sakana desu: These animals are fish.
korera no doobutsu wa uma desu: These animals are horses.

kono hito tachi no naka ni onnanohito wa imasen: There are no women in this group of people.
kono hito tachi no naka ni otokonohito wa imasen: There are no men in this group of people.
korera no doobutsu no naka ni uma wa imasen: There are no horses amongst these animals.
korera no doobutsu no naka ni sakana wa imasen: There are no fish amongst these animals.

kono kodomo tachi wa minna otokonoko desu: These children are all boys.
kono kodomo tachi no naka ni otokonoko wa imasen: There are no boys in this group of children.
korera no doobutsu wa minna ushi desu: All of these animals are cows.
korera no doobutsu no naka ni ushi wa imasen: There are no cows amongst these animals.

kono kodomo tachi no naka ni onnanoko wa imasen: There are no girls in this group of children.
kono kodomo tachi wa minna onnanoko desu: All of these children are girls.
korera no doobutsu no naka ni sakana wa imasen: There are no fish amongst these animals.
korera no doobtusu wa minna sakana desu: All of these animals are fish.

kono futari wa gyuunyuu o nonde imasu: These two are drinking milk.
kono futari wa gyuunyuu o yubisashite imasu: These two are pointing to the milk.
hitori ga moo hitori o yubisashite imasu: One person is pointing at the other person.
kono futari wa uma ni notte imasu: These two are riding horses.

kono hito tachi wa dochiramo gyuunyuu o nonde imasu: Both people are drinking milk.
kono hito tachi wa dochiramo gyuunyuu o yubisashite imasu: Both people are pointing at the milk.
kono hito tachi no uchi hitori dake ga yubisashite imaseu: All but one person is pointing (??)
kono hito tachi wa dochiramo uma ni notte imasu: Both of these people are riding horses.

hitori ga orengijuusu o nonde imasu: One person is drinking orange juice.

onnanohito wa gyuunyuu o nonde imasu ga, onnanoko wa nonde imasen: The woman is drinking milk, the girl is not.
onnanoko wa gyuunyuu o nonde imasu ga, onnanohito wa nonde imasen: The girl is drinking milk, the woman is not.
onnanohito to onnanoko wa dochiramo gyuunyuu o nonde imasu: The woman and the girl are both drinking milk.
dareka ga gyuunyuu o nonde imasu ga, kare wa nonde imasen: Someone is drinking milk but he is not.
