Japanese Unit 3 Lesson 8

This was hard for me. There are a lot of unknowns/blank spots.

isha: doctor
kangofu: nurse
seebishi: mechanic (seibiko?)
gakusee: student (gakusei)

keesatsukan: policeman
haisha: dentist
daiku: carpenter
kagakusha: scientist

hisho: secretary
kokku: cook
kyooshi: teacher
ueetaa: waiter

hazukashigatte imasu: embarrassed
itagatte imasu: in pain
kowagatte imasu: afraid
byooki desu: sick

otokonohito wa atsuku arimasen: The man is not hot.
otokonohito wa samuku arimasen: The man is not cold.
otokonohito wa kowagatte imasu: The man is afraid.
otokonohito wa isha desu: The man is a doctor.

otokonohito wa musuko o hokori ni omotte imasu: The man is proud of his son.
otokonohito wa kuruma o hokori ni omotte imasu: The man is proud of his car.
otokonohito wa yasete imasu: The man is thin.
otokonohito wa futotte imasu: The man is fat.

ginkoo: bank
keesatsusho: police station
kono otokonohito kanemochi desu: This man is a rich man.
kono otokonohito wa ginkoo de okane o uketotte imasu: This man..? (okane = money, ginkoo = bank)

kare wa itagatte imasu: He is in pain.
kare wa ryoori o shite imasu: He is cooking.
konojo wa ryoori o shite imasu: She is cooking.
kare wa hazukashigatte imasu: He is embarrased.

kangofu wa otokonohito no kambyoo o shite imasu: The nurse is treating the man?
isha wa otokonohito no kambyoo o shite imasu: The doctor is treating the man?
seebishi wa kuruma o shuuri shite imasu: The mechanic is servicing the car?
haisha wa otokonohito no ha o chiryoo shite imasu: The dentist is treating the man's teeth.

pan'yasan wa pan o yaite imasu: The baker is ___ the bread.
hisho wa taipuraitaa o utte imasu: The secretary is using the typewriter.
kyooshi wa seeto tachi ni oshiete imasu: The teacher is teaching the group of pupils.
seeto tachi wa hon o yonde imasu: The group of pupils is reading a book. (more literal here, could just say 'The students are reading books.')

Ugh... hopefully I get some clarity on these things later on
