Japanese Unit 4 Lesson 9

Well... *headesk*
I did not get even half of these verbs, and it's a frustrating and many times fruitless search for their meaning online. I tried, though. Context clues baby.


Verbs that I am not sure of/or have become sure of in this lesson:

hippatte = hipparu (to pull)
tomete = tomeru ? (to fasten)
nosete = noseru (to load)
orite = oriru ? (to descend)
kaete = kaeru (to change)

ootobai: motorcycle
nandaika no ootobai: A bunch of motorcycles.
kiiroi basu: Yellow bus.
nidai no kiiroi basu: Two yellow buses.

chiisana akai kuruma: Small red car.
shiroi rimujin: White limousine.
akai booto: Red boat.
ookina kuroi torakku: Big black truck.

torakku wa kuruma o hippatte imasu: The truck is pulling the car.
dareka ga kuruma o unten shite imasu: Someone is driving the car.
akai kuruma wa torakku no ushiro ni arimasu: The red car is behind the truck.
torakku wa booto o hippatte imasu: The truck is pulling the boat.

torakku ga ue to shita ni aru nihon no hashi no aida o tootte imasu: The truck is passing between two bridges, one over it and one under it. ???
torakku to kuruma wa hashi no shita ni arimasu: The truck and car are under the bridge.
ookina hashi: Big bridge.
kuruma wa ie no mae ni chuusha shite arimasu: The car is parked in front of the house.

jitensha wa tomete arimasu: The bike is fastened.
otokonohito wa jitensha o ban no ue ni nosete imasu: The woman is loading the bike on top of the van.
onnanohito wa ban ni norikonde imasu: The woman is boarding the van.
booto wa kawa no ue ni arimasu: The boat is on the river.

kuruma wa muki o kaete imasu: The car is changing direction (muki = direction). (Maybe "The car is turning" ? )
kuruma wa yuki no naka o hashitte imasu: The car is running in the snow.
akai kuruma wa pareedo o shite imasu: The red car is in the parade.
kuruma wa torakku o oikoshite imasu: The car is passing the truck.

kuroi rimujin: Black limousine.
antikku no kuruma: Antique car.
yane ga orite iru oopunkka: Roof is down on the car..??
akai supootsukaa: Red sportscar

ressha wa yama no ue ni arimasu: The train is on the mountain
hitobito wa romendensha ni norikonde imasu: Every person is boarding the streetcar.
kono akai kuruma wa jiko ni aimashita: This car got in an accident.
akai kuruma wa jiko ni atte imasen: The red car was not in an accident.

aka to haiiro no kuruma wa jiko ni aimashita: The red and grey cars got in an accident.
sensuikan wa mizu no naka ni arimasu: The sub is in the water.
funa niwa ho ga arimasu: The boat is sailing.
aka to shiro no kuruma wa chuusha shite imasu: The red and shite cars are parked.

akai kuruma wa kowasare mashita:
The red car broke.
kuruma wa kowasarete imasen: The car is not broken.
ookina fune wa mizu no naka o ugoite imasu:
rekkaasha wa kuruma o hippate imasu:
The tow truck is pulling the car.

I found out "tomete" means "to stop"
